Job summary

Illinois State Board of Education is seeking a qualified professional to perform monitoring and program management for child nutrition programs. You will coordinate monitoring activities, draft detailed reports, and provide technical assistance to school food authorities and other organizations across southern Cook, Will, Kane, Kendall, and Grundy counties.

Residency in Southern Cook or Will counties is preferred; travel is extensive.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, business or related field or a Bachelor's with two years of relevant experience.
• Two years of experience in nutrition, food service management, or related areas.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monitoring reviews of school food authorities and child care providers to ensure program compliance.
• Develop monitoring objectives and scope for assignments.
• Coordinate schedules and timelines for cyclical monitoring activities.
• Draft findings, recommendations, and detailed reports of work performed.
• Provide technical assistance to school food authorities and agencies; serve as primary contact for fiscal and programmatic issues.
