Job summary

Jackson Memorial Perdue Medical Center PMC Nursing Admin is seeking an Associate Director of Patient Care Services Level 1 to lead nursing practice, drive quality improvement, and supervise staff. The role will advocate for patients, educate, and manage hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes in line with policy.

The incumbent will advance patient care standards, collaborate with the Medical Staff, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Education must include nursing and managerial qualifications.
• Strong emphasis on patient care standards, quality improvement and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Promotes customer service orientation within the designated service area.
• Establishes systems of accountability for clinical, clerical and support personnel.
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships across disciplines responsible for patient care.
• Provides leadership by communicating and implementing the mission, goals and objectives.
• Ensures unit goals align with division and medical staff.
• Leads performance improvement planning and interdepartmental initiatives.
• Manages staffing, budgeting and staff competency practices.
• Drives information systems to improve outcomes and reporting.
