Job summary

Citrus Health Group seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the department with 24-hour accountability for high-quality, cost-effective care. You will oversee nursing operations, coordinate clinical activities, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role includes strategic planning, budget ownership, and staff development to achieve positive outcomes. Lead a multidisciplinary team, maintain patient and family satisfaction, and collaborate with physicians and the IDT to align

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of five years full-time or equivalent clinical experience with at least two years in nursing supervision in long-term care.
• BSN preferred.
• Must read/write/speak English to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients and visitors.
• TST verification as required by state law; administered at work site if required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, allocate and control the budget for the Department of Nursing Services.
• Actively participate in facility business planning and manage nursing staffing, recruiting and onboarding.
• Provide nursing leadership, ensure patient care quality and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Ensure infection control practices and readiness for MDS processes; coordinate with medical staff and departments.
• Promote a culture of safety and supervise daily rounds to ensure nursing needs are met.
