Job summary

Diversicare Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Service department across centers in multiple states. The role requires managing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving quality patient care in a post-acute setting.

The candidate should have a current RN license, extensive nursing management experience, and the ability to travel extensively to centers located in AL, MS, TN, KS and NC.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• Minimum five years general nursing experience, with at least two years in LTC.
• Past experience as a Director of Nursing or other Nursing Management roles.
• Strong leadership ability and the willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement nursing department policies and Clinical guidelines.
• Maintain administrative authority for Nursing Services in the facility; may serve as Director of Nursing.
• Plan and direct effective administration of the nursing unit and patient care.
• Hire, counsel and terminate Nursing Department staff in alignment with policy.
• Determine staffing requirements with Nursing leadership and manage budgets for clinical services.
• Attend head of department meetings and coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure quality care through documentation, clinical start-up and reporting.
• Participate in QAPI and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.
