Job summary

Diversicare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with strong leadership to serve as Director of Nursing. The role requires oversight of Nursing Services, staffing, and ensuring quality patient care across five-state centers.

The ideal candidate has extensive LTC experience, management background, and willingness to travel to facilities in AL, MS, TN, KS, and NC. A commitment to compliance and service excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and licensed in practicing states.
• Experience in management and geriatric nursing.
• Leadership ability.
• Minimum five years general nursing experience with at least two years in long term care and two years in administrative/consultative roles.
• Past experience as a Director of Nursing or other Nursing Management Roles.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site in multiple centers across AL, MS, TN, KS, and NC.
• Ability to assume DNS/DSD/MDS Coordinator functions.
• At least two years of LTC experience.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and enforces nursing department policies and guidelines.
• Provides administrative authority for Nursing Service functions in the facility.
• May serve as Charge Nurse or other nursing management roles.
• Directs staffing and budgeting discussions with leadership.
• Plans and directs effective administration of nursing units and patient care.
• Associates with Administrators to determine staffing requirements.
• Ensures quality clinical care and documentation across the center.
• Participates in required committee meetings and QA initiatives.
