Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect services for chronically ill and convalescent residents/patients.
• Train and mentor Nursing Assistant and Unit Aide staff in the unit.
• Obtain and document resident weights, assist with passing trays and feeding, record meal and fluid intake.
• Administer nourishment passes, complete audits and meal satisfaction surveys.
• Educate and train CNAs on related tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalency experience in patient care in a hospital or long-term care setting.

Additional Information

This position is located in the Food and Nutrition Department. The main focus of duties will be on obtaining and documenting resident weights, assisting with passing trays and feeding, recording meal and fluid intake, administering nourishment passes, completing audits and meal satisfaction surveys, and educating and training CNAs on these tasks.
