Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant Course is required.
• Heart Saver Certification is preferred.
• Minimum of two years direct patient care experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides equipment and support for oral and personal hygiene.
• Prepares patients for meals and assists with feeding as needed.
• Records vital signs and intake/output as appropriate.
• Collects specimens as required and reports changes to the RN.
• Assists with insertion of Foley catheters and managing dressings.
• Maintains patient safety and responds to call bells promptly.
• Transports patients as needed and participates in emergency drills.
