Curtiss-Wright's Scientech unit in Idaho Falls is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to design, implement, and test distributed control and safety systems for nuclear applications. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams across hardware and software, coordinate with customers, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

The role emphasizes engineering leadership, hands-on system integration, and journey from requirements to tested solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in engineering roles
• Experience providing technical direction on large projects
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or related field

Responsibilities

• Program, execute, and supervise engineering design, construction, installation and ongoing support of facilities and systems
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure resources and tools are available
• Coach and mentor teams for capability advancement
• Manage design engineering teams to meet technical and cost targets
• Support technical interaction with customers including meetings and written communications
• Review and approve engineering documents and design content
• Develop, test, and refine system hardware and software requirements
• Create and review design documentation and formal test documentation
• Integrate 3rd party hardware and software with company systems
• Follow company guidelines to meet technical standards
• Demonstrate strong customer focus and initiative
