Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer in the Customer Order execution flow. You will review engineering data, prepare 2D drawings and 3D models, and coordinate cross-functionally to meet order schedules for standard and custom pump and seal orders.

You will perform calculations, support procurement and manufacturing, and ensure compliance with nuclear industry guidelines. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential for on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant design engineering experience.
• Experience with 2D drafting and 3D modeling (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong knowledge of nuclear industry guidelines and regulations (HI, 10CFR50, 10CFR21, API, CSA).

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret customer specifications.
• Assist in material selection to meet project requirements.
• Create complete engineering bills of materials and customer/part drawings.
• Meet project schedule milestones for engineering deliverables.

Role Summary:

A Project Engineer within order engineering is an integral member of the Customer Order execution process. A Project Engineer reviews and prepares Engineering data, 2D drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, performs engineering studies and related calculations, and coordinates cross-functionally with other Flowserve departments (internal and external) and suppliers to establish schedules for the fulfillment of standard and custom pump and seal orders. Able to analyze and improve quality, cost, and delivery of products by using lean and Six Sigma tools.

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpretation of customer specifications.
• Assist in material selection to meet customer project requirements.
• Technical project responsibility including creating complete engineering bills of material and customer/part design drawings.
• Meets project schedule milestones for engineering deliverables.
• Interfaces and supports other department functions by providing technical guidance to procurement, planning, manufacturing, and suppliers to clarify project requirements.
• Conducts design reviews to ensure components & assemblies comply with customer specifications and design requirements.
• Manages multiple projects involving complex designs, including oversight of support resources and seeking guidance from technical specialists.
• Performs and reviews engineering calculations and analysis in support of design efforts.
• Reviews and approves suppliers’ documentation.
• Supports technical discussions with customers and other key functional areas.

Requirements:

• BS degree in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering preferred) and 5-7 years of relevant design engineering experience.
• Possess understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
• Experience with 2D and 3D drafting and modeling. Experience with SolidWorks preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industrial guidelines and regulations governing the Nuclear Industry (HI, 10CFR50, 10CFR21, API, CSA, etc.).

Preferred Experience / Characteristics

• Design engineering experience with rotating equipment is highly preferred.
• Experience with ASME B&PV Code & ANSI Y14.5 is preferred.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
