Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Principal Engineer - Plant Layout to lead nuclear site layout, equipment, piping, and HVAC layouts, seismic and other hazard evaluations. Hybrid work, based in Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC, with 2-3 days on-site and potential for other US locations.

You will interface with systems, equipment, structures, and plant arrangement, using 3D modeling to optimize layouts, and you will coordinate across teams while reporting to the Engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil/Structural/Architectural or Mechanical Engineer).
• At least 6 years of experience.
• Experience in use of 3D modeling software to assess physical equipment arrangements and develop site layout plot plans.
• Visual and spatial design skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan the task and schedule the work for a given task/activity.
• Provide technical oversight of the work (including technical reviews of work products – from a process or usability type view).
• Have a questioning attitude and challenge assumptions.
• Provide technical coordination between different areas related to the tasks to avoid technical conflicts.
• Lead responses for requests for additional information from internal and external customers.
