Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Engineer 1 - Mechanical/Architectural to support the Layout and Design Integration Engineering group. You will contribute to advanced nuclear plant designs, focusing on system integration, equipment placement, and 3D model reviews, with hybrid work at Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical or architectural preferred) and a 3.0 GPA, with encouragement to pursue EIT and PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; Mechanical or Architectural preferred.
• Willing to pursue Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification and Professional Engineering licensure (PE).

Responsibilities

• Support Layout and Design Integration Engineering with 3D design for nuclear and non-nuclear projects.
• Read drawings and criteria documents; verify designs and conduct 3D model reviews.
• Prepare reports to satisfy regulatory, code and customer requirements.
• Collaborate across departments and global sites on RFIs and design changes.
