Job summary

Blue Energy is seeking a Senior Modularization Engineer to lead the day-to-day modularization and shop-fabrication scope for a major SMR power block. You will partner with a Junior engineer to run modularization studies and ensure deliverables land on schedule and meet Blue Energy’s standards.

You will ground ambitious concepts in fabrication, transport, and site installation reality, manage risk and schedules, and mentor the junior engineer while coordinating with OEMs and Fabricators.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of engineering experience on major power, nuclear, offshore, petrochemical, or heavy-industrial projects, with modularization content.
• Ownership of modularization scope from concept through fabrication, transport, and site installation.
• Strong project-management skills: schedule, deliverables, risk tracking, and vendor oversight.
• Constructability, heavy-transport and lift engineering across civil/structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical/I&C.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day modularization scope delivery and manage Fabricator progress.
• Coordinate the hybrid kickoff, virtual midpoint, and final reviews with SMR OEM and Fabricator.
• Assess fabrication efficiency, transportability, lift feasibility, and site sequence.
• Review module boundaries, ICDs, tolerances and allocation of responsibilities.
• Maintain study schedules, deliverable logs, and risk tracking.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and Blue Energy information management.
• Mentor the Junior Modularization Engineer.
