Job summary

Framatome North America is seeking a field service technician to install, troubleshoot, assemble and repair tooling and equipment at customer sites, including components related to nuclear reactors. Travel to remote locations is required, with unescorted nuclear access and background checks necessary to perform duties.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and the ability to work under high-stress outages while maintaining maintenance logs and schedules.

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical aptitude for field service
• Experience with nuclear safety and health policies
• Strong communication with teams and customers
• Ability to obtain unescorted nuclear access and related clearances

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, assembles and disassembles, repairs and maintains tooling and equipment at customer sites; may involve nuclear reactor components
• Performs routine field tasks, operates specialized equipment, records data on performance
• Develops procedures, problem reports and field schedules, maintains maintenance logs
• May assist with development of procedures and data; may contribute to training materials
• Directs technicians including on-the-job training, briefs, task definitions and performance management
• Ensures safety and health compliance and follows all rules and regulations
• Adapts to flexible hours and travel to various remote job sites
• Complies with background checks, psychological eval and drug screening for access
