Job summary

TechSource in Washington, DC, is seeking a full-time Remote Sensing & Nuclear Activity Detection Engineer to support DOE/NNSA missions. The role requires deep expertise in nuclear signatures and sensing modalities, with experience in satellite/airborne platforms and high-level program analyses.

The position involves technical reviews, conference participation, and collaboration across teams to identify and assess nuclear-related activities using remote sensing, SAR, hyperspectral data, and AI/ML

Qualifications

  • Active Q or Top Secret clearance required.
  • 20+ years in nuclear detection, remote sensing, or non-proliferation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Deep knowledge of nuclear signatures and sensing modalities.
  • Experience with satellite or airborne sensing systems.
  • Strong modeling, analysis, and technical writing skills.
  • Willingness to assist the program team across tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Support program reviews and conferences on mission-critical efforts.
  • Conduct technical analysis and advise on detecting nuclear-related activities from stand-off ranges (>100 m).
  • Perform program and conference reviews and contribute to mission-critical proposals.
  • Integrate remote sensing systems capable of identifying, characterizing, and assessing nuclear-related operations.
