Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Principal Engineer in Madison, PA, to provide daily technical support for component engineering. You will lead design and analysis for major components such as the steam generator and pressurizer, supporting outages and upgrades.

Reporting to the Manager of Component Engineering & Chemistry Operations, this role offers hybrid work in Madison, PA and opportunities to develop solutions for complex problems while addressing customer and regulatory

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 8 years in an engineering role.
• Proficient in ANSYS and familiar with ASME codes.
• Experience in scope, schedule and budget development and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis for major components (steam generator, pressurizer) and support outages.
• Perform engineering calculations and finite element analyses using ANSYS or similar tools.
• Coordinate installations, fabrication, testing and qualification of repairs or replacements.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements and meet project budgets.
• Prepare technical reports and provide technical scope descriptions and cost estimates.
• Address customer and regulatory requirements and identify new business opportunities.
• Provide site or headquarters support for inspections during outages.
