Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation in Charlotte, NC seeks a Principal Communications Manager who provides strategic internal and external communications counsel, stakeholder engagement leadership, and integrated project management across the regional nuclear fleet.

You will partner with regional leaders to craft communications, manage crises, align messages with regulatory expectations, and guide programs that protect the company’s reputation while supporting business priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, or related degree.
• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
• In lieu of Degree, a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 14 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective communications counsel to regional nuclear leaders, including site leaders, building relationships and guiding messaging.
• Lead internal site and regional communications, craft and send leader communications to reinforce strategic messaging.
• Coordinate with corporate and internal nuclear communications managers to align on internal communications strategies for operational and regulatory initiatives.
