Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Nuclear Chemistry Analyst Senior to support the restart of the Duane Arnold Energy Center. You will provide advanced chemistry and radiochemistry expertise to ensure regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and long-term reliability of critical plant systems.

This is a long-term technical role within the operating organization. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in nuclear chemistry, experience in regulated environments, and the ability to lead chemistry initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Chemistry or equivalent education.
• Experience in chemistry and radiochemistry in the nuclear industry; additional technical training may be considered equivalent.
• Navy ELT experience may be considered equivalent to degree requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensures plant chemistry/radiochemistry operations are within regulatory and operating limits.
• Monitors water treatment, make-up water, chemical and waste treatment systems.
• Directs planning and implementation of chemistry projects.
• Analyzes technical data to monitor plant chemistry indicators and identify solutions.
• Prepares studies affecting Operations, maintenance and capital expenses.
• Supports safety, performance improvement, QA and corrective action programs.
