Job summary

Ramtec Consulting LLC seeks a Senior NSX Engineer to design, implement, operate, secure, and troubleshoot VMware NSX in a DoD environment. The role covers architecture, deployment, and operational support, including hardening, automation, upgrades, and incident resolution.

The candidate will own NSX lifecycle and collaborate across network, cybersecurity, systems, storage, and program teams, while adhering to RMF, STIGs, and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 5 years hands-on VMware NSX design, implementation, operation or support.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and sustain NSX-T/VCF networking solutions in production and test environments.
• Engineer and maintain NSX management/control/data planes; manage NSX Edge clusters.
• Develop and manage firewall rulesets with least-privilege principles; coordinate with cybersecurity teams.
• Lead upgrades, patches, certificate rotation, and lifecycle management with minimal disruption.
• Produce implementation plans, runbooks, and post-change documentation.
