Job summary

Samsung Research America seeks a senior NPU Architect to lead architecture and sub-system design for next-generation SoCs. You will drive architectural exploration, performance modeling, and HW/SW co-optimization to meet demanding power and performance targets across Galaxy devices.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to map AI workloads to NPU IPs, deliver detailed proposals, and influence product roadmaps. A strong background in CNN/LLM and ML frameworks is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in NPU architecture and development is required.
• Hands-on experience with cycle-accurate performance modeling.

Responsibilities

• Propose NPU features to boost PPA for next-gen SOCs.
• Perform high-level performance modeling and analysis of NPU features.
• Develop cycle-accurate performance models and correlate with silicon.
• Deliver architecture proposals and specs to design teams.
• Map AI use cases to NPU; co-design SW/HW for low power high performance.
• Collaborate across SOC teams from Driver to OS.
