Job summary

Humanoid in Massachusetts seeks a Senior NPI Mechanical Engineer to establish and lead mechanical NPI practices, guiding hardware programs from concept to early production readiness. You will own manufacturability decisions, partner with design, quality, and supply chain to build scalable processes and define readiness criteria at each gate.

This hands-on, cross‑functional role requires organizing supplier qualifications, defining assembly methods, and driving defect reduction across prototypes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years in mechanical engineering, with strong NPI experience and scale-up knowledge.
• Experience taking products from concept to mass production, especially in robotics or electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical NPI activities across the full product lifecycle from concept to production readiness.
• Review designs for manufacturability, assembly, and testability to avoid late changes.
• Define a gate process and own mechanical deliverables at each stage.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with electrical, industrial design, quality, and supply chain.
