You will lead DFM reviews, interpret GD&T, and collaborate with design engineers to define manufacturing processes, tooling, and BOM management for NPI. The role emphasizes hands‑on prototyping, ERP usage, and a smooth production transfer with a focus on quality and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in aerospace or defense.
• Two years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and reading engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with machining, sheet metal fabrication, and mechanical assembly.
• Experience with ERP systems and BOM management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Preferred: Hands-on production or prototyping experience.
• Preferred: Electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• Preferred: AS9100 or ISO quality systems familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Support DFM reviews on new mechanical assemblies and electro-mechanical systems with design feedback.
• Interpret GD&T callouts and drawings to ensure producibility and inspection feasibility.
• Collaborate with design engineers to document manufacturing processes and instructions for NPI.
• Assist prototype and first article builds, providing hands-on support.
• Maintain BOMs and ERP data for material planning and configuration control in NPI.
• Identify cost, cycle time, and risk reductions through process improvements.
• Work with manufacturing teams to establish tooling, fixtures, and process controls.
• Support transition of NPI programs into production with proper documentation.
