Partner with multi-functional leaders in Design, Operations, Program Management, and Supply Chain to set direction, resolve challenges, and deliver successful launches that exceed customer expectations.

What you will experience
  • Lead strategic NPI initiatives from program kickoff through PPAP approval, Safe Launch Containment, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), ensuring manufacturing readiness and successful production launch.
  • Lead manufacturing readiness activities during project kick-off and development phases, guiding project teams on internal requirements, customer-specific requirements, risk mitigation strategies, RPN reduction plans, and process decisions based on statistical process control.
  • Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering collaborator with customers during the build and launch phases, driving alignment on manufacturing readiness, capability requirements, and launch risk mitigation.
  • Develop manufacturability approaches by collaborating with Design Engineering, Operations, and customers to ensure products scale efficiently, remain cost-effective, and meet manufacturing and quality requirements.
  • Deliver technical direction and mentorship to manufacturing and NPI engineers by sharing guidelines in APQP execution, launch strategy, manufacturability, and risk management.
  • Influence multi-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to develop practical, scalable solutions that balance quality, manufacturability, cost, and customer requirements.
  • Lead APQP execution and manufacturing qualification activities, including Capability Studies, FMEAs, Control Plans, inspection instructions, and PPAP deliverables, ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and approved deviations.
  • Guide production preparedness and launch execution by developing fixtures, tooling, job aids, and process controls while leading resolution of complex product launch and manufacturing challenges.
  • Foster the integration of safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles throughout product and process design.
Requirements and qualifications
  • Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Engineering and 7+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience OR Bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.) degree and 10+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of APQP principles and experience driving quality planning activities, including ECNs, Control Plans, FMEAs, capability studies, and process flow diagrams.
  • Experience providing technical support for manufacturing readiness, risk mitigation, and new product introduction activities.
  • Demonstrated capability to mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on NPI processes, manufacturing protocols, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and use CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
