Silgan Dispensing Systems Thomaston Corporation is seeking an experienced NPD Technical Program Manager to lead projects ensuring cost, time, and quality objectives are met. The role emphasizes developing new dispensing solutions and coordinating with cross-functional teams for manufacturing efficiency and regulatory compliance.

You will manage strategic projects, interface with customers on tooling and molds, and provide technical support to Marketing and Sales in a fast-paced FMCG setting.

Qualifications

• Master or Engineering degree in Project management or Mechanical / Plastics / Packaging.
• 5–7 years in product development projects management for FMCG/plastic injection.
• Fluent in English; experience with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as key point of contact for development and implementation of new product offerings ensuring regulatory compliance and manufacturing efficiency.
• Interface with customers to develop tooling, ensure mold design meets cost targets.
• Coordinate site cross-functional activities for Time to Market, Quantity, Cost objectives.

About this Role

The NPD Technical Program Manager position has an important role on the Silgan Dispensing team. Our plants produce thousands of our dispensing products each day. So, it’s important to keep it running efficiently and continuously. The NPD Technical Project Manager leads assigned projects to ensure cost, time and quality objectives defined in the project brief or charter are met.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as key point of contact for the development and implementation of new product offerings ensuring technical superiority, manufacturing efficiency and regulatory compliance for all new projects.
• Interface with the customer in the development of custom tooling to ensure the design of the new molds meets customer expectations and cost targets.
• Ensure site coordination and cross functional collaboration for assigned projects according to Quality / Time to Market / Quantity / Cost objectives for (P0+/P1/P2/P3).
• Manage directly strategic / critical projects to enhance manufacturing capabilities and plant offerings. Coordinate project status meetings as needed to ensure timely and documented stage gate reviews and provide weekly updates to plant / sales management.
• Provides technical support for Marketing and Sales for the promotion of the new products.

Education/Experience

Master or Engineering degree in Project management or Mechanical / Plastics / Packaging 5-to-7-year experience in a similar function as product development projects manager for FMCG products and plastic injection technology (Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Electronics, Plastic injection suppliers & industries) exposed to international cultures and teams Fluent in English Perform other duties as assigned. Must have 3-5 Years in a Plastics Manufacturing Environment.

Physical Demands
