Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Senior New Product Development Engineer to lead design, testing, and validation of new bedding products. You will mentor junior engineers while ensuring designs meet cost, quality, and manufacturing requirements.

You will collaborate with marketing, sourcing, and manufacturing to pilot, validate, and rollout new products, driving performance and margins with rigorous tollgates and DFMEA-based decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical, Textile, or Industrial Engineering (or related).
• 5+ years in an engineering or operations role delivering consumer products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decisions.
• LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.

Responsibilities

• Create product specifications and ensure designs meet customer requirements.
• Develop bill of materials and time requirements for products.
• Perform DFMEAs, durability testing, EHS testing, and validation.
• Collaborate with marketing to validate claims and support launches.
• Support new production processes and product rollouts.
