Job summary

Rose International is seeking a Senior NoSQL Database Administrator to join our onsite team in Round Rock, TX. The role focuses on Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Neo4j, and other NoSQL platforms running on Linux VM and Kubernetes.

You will lead hands-on database design, deployment, upgrades, and operational support, leveraging Ansible automation and AI-native development approaches. This is a 9-month temporary assignment requiring 12+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or hands-on work experience.
• Experience with design, maintenance and administration of NoSQL databases on Linux VM & Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day DB administration and support for existing and new NoSQL databases on Linux VM and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation and OLAM playbooks for NoSQL DB provisioning, upgrades, patches, and DBA activities.
• Assist planning and performing database patching, upgrades and capacity expansion for scalability.
• Troubleshoot, tune, and optimize NoSQL database performance.

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities

• Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of related experience with master’s degree in the design, maintenance, and administration of NoSQL databases on Linux VM & Kubernetes.


• Hands‑on experience in Ansible automation & OLAM playbook development, AI Native Spec Driven Development (SDD) for NoSQL DB platform provisioning, DB installation, upgrade / patching and DBA administration activities.


• Deep understanding of Database principles, Db cluster management, replication, and multi-datacenter configuration

Role

The individual should have strong hands‑on knowledge at least two or more NoSQL database administration such as Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4j, SingleStore, StarDog, etc. on Linux VM & Kubernetes. It includes the creation and implementation of fully functional NoSQL database clusters, ability to maintain multiple production and non-production database environments with strong experience in troubleshooting, break‑fix issues, upgrades, configuration management, migration and patching activities. Hands on strong Ansible automation and OLAM playbook development, AI Native development skills using Devin for Spec Driven Development (SDD) for NoSQL platform automation/development and support.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing day-to-day DB administration & support, and maintenance for existing and new NoSQL databases on Linux VM and Kubernetes


• Responsible for Ansible automation, OLAM playbook on Linux VM & Kubernetes, AI Native development skills using Devin for Spec Driven Development (SDD)


• Assist in planning and performing database patching, upgrades and implementing capacity and resource expansion to ensure scalability of the databases


• Perform debugging, tuning and performance enhancement of the NoSQL database platform


• Monitor the health, High Availability, Disaster Recovery solutions and Backup/Recovery operations
