Our TPO Division is hiring a Senior NonQM Underwriter with at least 2 years of recent NonQM underwriting experience.

ALL REMOTE POSITIONS REQUIRE A DOWNLOAD SPEED OF AT LEAST 50 MBPS.

Reports To: NQM UW Team Lead/TPO UW Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Division: TPO

Salary Range: $95K to $115K

Summary: Review mortgage files for applicant’s work history, credit, liabilities, and assets, and other necessary information for loan decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly analyze mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with guidelines and salability.
• Assess loan risk and request additional documentation as needed.
• Review resubmitted loan conditions.
• Decide on loan eligibility, document decisions, and communicate effectively.
• Calculate income and analyze repayment ability.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to policies.
• Maintain service levels and turn-time standards.
• Respond to audits and post-closing issues promptly.
• Stay updated on Non-QM, TPO, and NDC guidelines.
• Request exceptions and scenarios as needed.
• Submit files and conditions to investors and monitor status.
• Mentor staff on underwriting deficiencies and errors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
