Job summary

Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial data analysis and reporting for a range of programs. You will collaborate with program leaders on budgets and monthly closures, ensuring accurate reporting and timely funder invoicing.

The role requires nonprofit accounting experience, strong MS Office skills, and proficiency in NetSuite. A 5+ year track record is expected, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in nonprofit accounting or with nonprofit clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets and budget modifications with program leaders.
• Prepare journal and closing entries as required.
• Produce timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports with budget comparisons.
• Provide schedules for annual audit and support.
• Prepare monthly invoices to funders and manage accounts payable/receivable by funder.
• Support and implement SOPs for Fiscal team.
• Assist with audits and related schedules.
