Job summary

Apple Cupertino seeks a Noise & Vibration Engineer to quantify noises, guide root-cause analysis, and provide design feedback to optimize sound quality across hardware products. You will work with cross-functional teams, develop test procedures, and travel minimally to support factory validation and product builds.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Acoustics, 5+ years of experience in acoustic validation and vibration mitigation, and strong analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering / Acoustics or equivalent field.
• 5+ years minimum experience in product development that includes acoustic design validation and vibration mitigation design.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Quantify noises, facilitate user studies, and establish thresholds in lab and factory environments.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to troubleshoot, identify source, and fix noises found during testing.
• Author procedures, test plans and specifications and develop objective test stations.
