Job summary

MITRE, a nonprofit engineering and advanced technology organization, seeks an experienced communications engineer to support DISA’s NLCC project. You will develop, analyze, test, and evaluate communications systems used by senior national leaders and provide trusted-advisor support to sponsors.

You will collaborate with program management, engineering, operations, and customer stakeholders to assess requirements, identify gaps, and propose near-term mitigations and long-term strategies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience with senior roles in DoD communications
• Experience with DoD policies and national senior leader communications
• Ability to interact with government leadership and classified partners
• Excellent written communications and leadership guidance skills
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance; US citizenship
• On-site requirement: 5 days a week on-site

Responsibilities

• Provide long-term, sponsor-facing trusted-advisor support for NLCC services and infrastructures
• Analyze, test, and evaluate communications systems for senior leaders
• Collaborate with government leadership and multidisciplinary teams
• Lead root-cause analyses of communications failures and develop mitigations
• Identify gaps, assess requirements, and develop near-term and long-term strategies
• Develop technically informed policies and guidance across DoD domains
