Job summary

CrossReach is recruiting a Senior Night Care Worker to lead night shifts, provide high-quality personal care, and support residents around the clock. You will supervise colleagues, administer medications, and ensure accurate handovers, wellbeing checks, and safety throughout the night.

The role requires SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare, a commitment to SVQ Level 4, and membership of the PVG Scheme with registration to the SSSC, all within CrossReach’s faith-informed ethos.

Job description

As a Senior Night Care Worker, you'll play a vital role in ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality care throughout the night. Combining hands-on support with leadership responsibilities, you'll help create a calm, reassuring environment where residents feel comfortable, respected and well cared for. While the home may be quieter, your role remains essential in supporting residents' wellbeing and leading colleagues to deliver excellent care.

About You

You will be an experienced care professional with a genuine commitment to supporting older people to live well. You'll be confident leading shifts, supporting colleagues and making sound decisions when required. Strong communication skills, compassion and a calm approach are essential. You must hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare and be willing to work towards, or already hold, an SVQ Level 4 qualification. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
