Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking a responsible scientist to perform daily Next Generation Sequencing testing and data interpretation following cGMP-compliant methods. You will develop methods as needed and ensure precise documentation, training peers, and adherence to SOPs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field and at least two years of industry experience, with strong communication and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' related industry experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or contract laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of cGMPs or regulatory affairs pertaining to the pharmaceutical and biological industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily laboratory tasks for next generation sequencing testing following documented test methods.
• Interpret data and troubleshoot assays.
• Review and edit SOPs, protocols and testing documentation.
• Participate in client/sponsor relationships (e.g. technology transfer, conference calls).
• Train less experienced colleagues and maintain accurate documentation.
• Follow all SOPs, STMs, and cGMP guidelines for tasks.
