Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications or equivalent training and/or experience.
- Minimum 7 years experience in a high-volume, digital news operation with proven leadership.
- Strong writing, editing, impeccable journalistic standards, and ability to respond quickly to breaking news.
Responsibilities
- Find, oversee, assign and edit a large volume of stories daily.
- Strategize coverage using the editorial calendar and data/analytics.
- Write as needed and oversee digital footprint during large events.
- Oversee digital coverage of breaking news and high-traffic stories.
- Collaborate with legal on vetting stories.
