Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications.
- 7+ years in digital news operation with leadership.
- Strong writing and editing with newsroom standards.
- Ability to respond quickly to breaking news and prioritize content.
- Proficient in SEO and analytics.
- Able to drive traffic and manage large volumes of stories.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate personality-focused national affairs coverage with Senior Editor.
- Lead digital coverage and manage the Current Events vertical.
- Oversee daily story assignment and editing, collaborating with legal.
- Strategize coverage using analytics and editorial calendar.
- Communicate quickly, clearly, and respectfully with the team.
