GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Client Solutions Engineer will lead the technical solutions process, acting as a technical liaison between the Sales Team, Clients, and Internal Stakeholders during the onboarding process to ensure a deep understanding of client needs and demonstrate how our solutions can meet those needs effectively. This role will meet directly with clients to ensure their technical integration with our offerings is seamless. A blend of technical knowledge and strong communication skills is key to effectively convey the benefits of our product and services, identifying gap s ensur ing s uccessful onboarding of clients.

Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying , assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • API Onboarding & Integration Support : Once the client is ready to move to onboarding, the S olutions Engineer will provide technical guidance on API integration, including Use Case documentation, troubleshooting during onboarding to ensure a smooth implementation and operational success for clients.

  • Solution Design: Analyze client requirements to design customized solutions that integrate seamlessly with their existing systems and meet their business objectives . This role will also work closely with our Product and Engineering teams on future enhancements and client requests.

  • Industry Knowledge : Understand payments, banking, fintech, and API technologies to provide up-to-date insights and solutions.

  • Documentation: Consistent documentation of Use Cases and funds flows while working with clients to identify gaps in product requirements or processes.

  • Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients during onboarding, offering expert advice and resolving any technical issues or concerns they may have.

  • Technical Consulting: Participate as needed on Sales calls to provide technical solutions consulting focused on our API and Payments products.

  • Product Feedback and Improvement: Collect feedback from clients to identify potential product enhancements and work closely with the development team to influence product evolution.

  • Documentation/Writing: Must have experience with writing requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May serve as a mentor for junior talent on the team and assist in onboarding/ tra i ning .

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree or equivalent advanced certification preferred.

  • Experience: 5-8 years of relevant work experience including solutions, development, API integrations. Experience in Fintech, Payments or Banking preferred.

  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of payments systems, banking technology, and API integrations. Familiarity with relevant compliance standards is a plus.

  • Candidate should have a deep, working knowledge of RESTful API's, HTTP, SSL/TLS, webhooks, websockets and asynchronous vs synchronous processing. A CS background or prior development experience is preferred .

  • Experience reading, writing, and using OpenAPI Specification 3.0 + a plus.

  • Communication : Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Leadership: Prior leadership experience preferred.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing client needs.

  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and engineering departments.

  • Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools preferred.

  • Knowledge of financial regulations and standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR preferred.

  • Certifications related to payments, fintech, or API technologies preferred.
