Job summary

Valmark is seeking a Senior New Business Specialist to manage life insurance applications through the new business and underwriting process, ensuring favorable outcomes for Member Offices and clients. You will provide world-class service and act as an advocate in carrier interactions.

You will handle case management, act as a SME on new business topics, promote initiatives, and train new hires, while building strong relationships with offices and underwriters.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years in Valmark environment or 7–10 years in related industry.
• Holds or actively pursuing Life Insurance Producer License, FLMI, ALMI, and/or ACS; Series 6, 26, or 63 licenses.

Responsibilities

• Manage over 100 pending life insurance cases from submission through payment.
• Advise on new business issues and act as SME for the team.
• Promote new business initiatives to increase usage and awareness.
• Assist in training new hires for quick onboarding.
• Provide high-quality customer service and advocate for offices with carriers.
• Build and maintain relationships with Member Offices and underwriting staff.
• Help negotiate creative solutions acceptable to all parties.
