The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. seeks a Sr.

Scientist to lead complex research projects and supervise teams within the Neurotrauma Department at NMRC in Silver Spring, MD. Develop new technologies and protocols while applying diverse scientific principles to potential inventions and operational needs. You will translate requirements into high-priority biomedical agendas, mentor PIs, and drive multi-phase roadmaps, leveraging external partnerships to

Qualifications

Doctoral degree required.
More than 10 years' experience required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

Serve as the department's technical expert on neurotrauma principles, interventions, and models; troubleshoot challenges and author recommendations for leadership.
Translate DoW operational requirements into high-priority biomedical research agendas and mentor PIs.
Lead development of competitive research grants and multi-phase project roadmaps.
Establish strategic partnerships with DHA, DoW entities, academia, and industry.
Oversee peer review and compliance with regulatory standards for proposals and protocols.
Attend scientific and policy-setting meetings as required.
