Job summary

SHI International Corporation is seeking a Principal IT Engineer – Networking to design, implement, and operate enterprise network solutions focused on Cisco and Meraki wired and wireless technologies. This hybrid role requires onsite presence in Somerset, NJ or Austin, TX, with scheduling driven by business needs.

You will lead incident triage, change activities, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to roadmap planning while partnering with security and infrastructure teams to enforce

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience supporting and engineering enterprise networks.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or relevant work experience.
• CCNA/CCNP/Meraki CMNA preferred.
• Experience with Cisco ISE design and policy administration.
• Experience performing wireless surveys and RF/spectrum analysis.
• Experience with network automation and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate Cisco Wireless LAN (Cisco/Meraki) networks.
• Plan RF designs, perform surveys, and optimize capacity.
• Integrate wireless with Cisco ISE for identity-based access controls.
• Design and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, routing, switching.
• Lead incident triage, root-cause analysis, and change management.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, standards, and runbooks.
