Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, Network & Zero Trust to own the network pillar across Kubernetes clusters and AWS accounts. You will implement identity-aware transport, per-application private access, and flow-level visibility, while ensuring compliance and rapid containment.

This hands-on role requires building tooling and rollout automation, reporting to security leadership, and driving a secure network posture.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in security, network, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on Kubernetes networking knowledge: CNI, NetworkPolicy, DNS, ingress/egress.
• Strong AWS networking: VPCs, subnets, peering, PrivateLink, load balancers, flow logs.
• Experience with mTLS and service-to-service authentication (service mesh or equivalent).
• Infrastructure as code as default (Terraform/Helm) across repos and CI.
• Ability to write Go/Python/Bash for tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own east-west segmentation across Kubernetes clusters and derive network policies.
• Deliver identity-aware transport with mutual TLS and verified service identities.
• Maintain live network maps with cloud APIs and ensure production paths are justified.
• Own segmentation of production and cardholder-data environment boundaries and testing.
• Collaborate on private access (ZTNA) for engineers and operators.
