Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Network Software Test Engineer IV (Architecture) in a hybrid role, requiring on‑site presence about two days a week at an HPE office in California. Qualifications

5+ years in network QA, networking, or security‑focused testing with ownership of test programs.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field (see Education).
Strong Python automation, test frameworks, and CI/CD integration knowledge.
Experience applying AI/LLMs to testing, log analytics, or automation workflows.
Security testing experience including encryption, auth, and firewall testing.

Responsibilities

Lead test strategy and execution for complex features with minimal oversight.
Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, protocols, and docs; drive defect triage and root cause analysis.
Design and maintain Python-based test frameworks and automation suites in CI/CD pipelines.
Use AI/LLMs to accelerate test-case generation, log classification, and anomaly detection.
Architect and execute security‑aware test scenarios including encryption, auth, access controls, and threat emulation.
Capture and analyze packet traces and logs; produce actionable bug reports and RCAs.
Coordinate tests across lab environments and production‑like testbeds; drive release criteria improvements.
