Job summary

Compeer Financial seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Network to lead the design, reliability, and modernization of our enterprise network and telephony services. You will drive complex connectivity improvements and mentor engineers while partnering across technology, business, and vendors.

The role requires 7+ years in network engineering, with strong routing/switching, cloud connectivity, and carrier services experience. Hybrid work up to 50% from Bloomington, IL area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, cybersecurity, telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive network engineering or related experience.
• Proven ability to design and lead complex network/telephony modernization initiatives across teams and locations.
• Advanced experience with routing, switching, wireless, WAN, cloud connectivity, and carrier services.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, change management, and disaster recovery in financial services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of routing, switching, wireless, WAN, cloud connectivity, telephony, UC, and carrier solutions across multiple sites.
• Develop reusable engineering patterns for segmentation, resiliency, QoS, secure access, and observability.
• Oversee platform upgrades, migrations, and retirement initiatives balancing near-term needs with long-term direction.
• Resolve high-impact network and voice incidents and drive systemic corrective actions.
• Define service health metrics, telemetry, and production readiness practices for critical services.
• Lead engineering reviews; mentor engineers; strengthen documentation and standards.
