Job summary

Wood River Federal is seeking a Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator to design, implement, and maintain the enterprise server and network infrastructure. You will ensure security, availability, and performance of critical back-end systems and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities include leading large infrastructure projects, managing virtualization environments, and driving patching, DR, and compliance with DoD requirements. Strong scripting and vendor coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive hands-on experience in systems and network administration.
• At least 3 years in a senior/lead role with architectural design and project leadership.
• Experience managing complex, enterprise virtualization environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, lead, and implement major infrastructure projects (server virtualization, SAN migrations, backbone refresh).
• Develop and manage patch management strategy for secure, timely updates.
• Lead backup and disaster recovery planning and testing across the enterprise.
• Serve as final Tier 3 escalation point for complex outages and performance issues.
