Job summary

San Joaquin County Information Systems Division is seeking a Journey-Level Network Administrator to provide advanced network support to county departments. The role emphasizes professional, analytical work with networking systems and requires experience with Cisco IOS, next-generation firewalls, and Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies.

The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and requires successful completion of a drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

Two years of increasingly responsible professional, analytical network administration experience.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, mathematics, business administration or a related field.
Possession of an approved information systems technology certificate or completion of an approved information systems training course may substitute for all or part of the above education.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced network support to county departments.
Troubleshoot and resolve difficult systems and applications hardware and software problems.
Work with Cisco IOS, Next-Gen firewalls and Layer 2/3 technologies in a professional capacity.
