Job summary

CareSource seeks a Network Strategy Director to serve as the enterprise subject-matter expert on provider contracting, leading the organization’s most complex negotiations and strategic contracting initiatives. You will set contracting standards, mentor teams, and influence leadership on high-value deals.

You will design innovative contract structures, advise on reimbursement strategies, and drive renewal planning for the highest-exposure agreements across markets, with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Eight years provider contracting experience, including leading complex, high-dollar negotiations independently.
• Direct experience negotiating with major health systems or IDNs preferred.
• Experience designing value-based or risk-based contract structures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation of CareSource's largest and most strategically significant provider agreements with major health systems, multi-market IDNs, and national/DME vendors.
• Serve as enterprise SME on contracting strategy, reimbursement methodology, and deal structuring; advise leadership on high-stakes deals.
• Design and pilot novel contract structures (VBC, risk corridors, performance-based rates) before wider rollout.
• Mentor contracting professionals enterprise-wide on negotiation techniques and complex contracting methodologies.
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve complex contractual, financial, and regulatory issues arising during negotiations.
• Represent National Network Development in executive-level provider discussions and market-facing negotiations.
• Own strategic renewal planning for the highest-exposure agreements in the renewal pipeline (90/180/365-day windows).
• Contribute contracting expertise to enterprise initiatives like new market entry readiness and VBC expansion strategy.
