Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a Senior Network Specialist to join a large DOD program in San Diego, CA. You will maintain and optimize LAN/WAN facilities, perform routine testing, and ensure network availability for all users.

Candidates should have a degree with multiple experience paths, Cisco networking experience, IPv6 knowledge, and must be able to obtain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience, Associates degree and 8 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment such as routers and switches.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with IPv6 protocol is required along with level 3 network protocols.

Essential Duties of the Senior Network Specialist

• Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
• Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• Troubleshoot network systems and performance as necessary
