Job summary

HireTalent seeks a Networks & Security Senior Test Engineer to contribute to automated testing for networking products. You will plan tests, create cases, and execute tests using security tools tailored to industrial automation challenges.

You will review robustness and vulnerability reports, work with PSIRT teams, research CVEs, draft vulnerability responses, and design test automation and environments to push client products to the limit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, CS, or EE with CS focus.
• At least 3 years in Networking and Security Engineering.
• Solid understanding of networks and protocols.
• Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting network implementations.
• Expert-level in high-complexity networking solutions and IT/OT convergence.
• Background in testing Ethernet networks and test env design.
• Experience with STP, VLANs, DTP, VTP, IGMP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP.
• Experience with security concepts, fuzzing tools, PSIRT processes.
• Experience with Cisco IE/Stratix switches/routers.
• Hands-on with automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to team planning and status meetings to clarify priorities and deliverables.
• Execute functional testing with security tools using white/grey/black-box methods.
• Analyze problems and document findings for future resolutions.
• Collaborate with developers to analyze and define problems.
• Review Achillies, Defensics and Pen test reports to identify issues.
• Run Achillies and Defensics tests in networking environments.
• Collaborate with PSIRT teams across locations to review vulnerabilities.
• Create test scenarios and verify fixes in Stratix IOS/IOS-XE products.
• Develop automation strategies and frameworks.
• Build knowledge of testing methodologies and practices.
• Stay informed on emerging networking technologies and IT/OT best practices.
• Record and summarize testing results.
