Job summary

Fortinet in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Technical Support Specialist to join our TAC team. You will provide troubleshooting for core Fortinet products, especially FortiGate, and work to isolate and solve customer issues.

You’ll analyze configurations, reproduce environments in the lab, and recommend actionable fixes while educating customers. Join a team focused on collaboration with global customers, engineering and product development, leveraging AI to drive efficient support and problem

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is desirable.
0–3 years of experience in a technical support or system administration role in a networking/security company or equivalent education.
Deep working knowledge of operating systems – Windows, OSX, Unix/Linux.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with security products - firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, virus scanning.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in the office 4 days a week and potential on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Provide troubleshooting expertise on Fortinet core products, especially FortiGate.
Collect, analyze and recommend changes to configuration information.
Collect and analyze customer system information and reproduction in lab environments.
Recommend corrective actions based on analysis and document findings.
Educate customers on gaps in networking or product knowledge.
Consult technical documentation, bulletins and release notes for known problems.
Escalate and manage cases to closure, with customer communications.
Coordinate with QA and development to solve problems and identify improvements.
Interface with customers and partners to ensure high satisfaction.
