Job summary

The Root Group is seeking a Senior IT Network / Security Engineer to provide billable consulting to our Colorado client base. You will collaborate with Account Managers to deliver network and security solutions spanning on‑prem, hybrid cloud, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include crafting Statements of Work, maintaining client communications, and expanding vendor relationships while growing expertise through training and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of IT networking, security, compute and storage experience.
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Ruckus, Check Point or Fortinet and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide billable consulting services to Colorado client base and design/optimize deployments for on‑prem, hybrid cloud and cloud environments.
• Develop content for Statements of Work and ensure clear communications with clients and sales personnel.
• Maintain technical expertise through training and collaboration with engineers; expand vendor relationships.
