Job summary

Robotics Technologies LLC seeks a hands-on network security engineer to support production environments and security operations. This role combines engineering and administration tasks with a focus on NGFW/UTM platforms, 802.1X NAC, and enterprise VPNs.

You will maintain runbooks, participate in change management, and drive projects such as network segmentation and TLS inspection; strong written and verbal communication across Security, IT, Product, and Operations is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of network security engineering supporting production environments.
• 5+ years of IT systems or application engineering and administration.
• Strong working knowledge of all layers of the OSI model.
• Hands-on experience with Layer-7 protection techniques (application control, TLS inspection, IPS, URL and DNS filtering).
• Direct experience administering enterprise NGFW/UTM platforms.
• Experience implementing and supporting 802.1X wired and wireless NAC.
• Experience with enterprise remote access VPN.
• Demonstrated experience operating within a formal change management process.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to work across Information Security, IT, Product, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Administrate next-gen firewall/UTM platforms: policy changes and updates.
• Operate URL filtering and Layer-7 inspection policies; tune categories.
• Tune IDS/IPS and reduce false positives; escalate detections to SOC.
• Support 802.1X NAC: troubleshoot supplicant, certificates, policies.
• Support remote access VPN: troubleshoot, split-tunnel policies, availability.
• Work ticket queue to SLA with written updates.
• Maintain runbooks, diagrams, and configuration docs.
• The contractor will also be assigned scoped project work; design, pilot, rollout and handoff docs.
