Job summary

Pixxel is seeking a hands-on Network and Security Engineer to design, deploy, and operate our secure network infrastructure and IT systems. The role emphasizes implementing NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC 2.0 controls, vulnerability management, and incident response across cloud and on-prem environments.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in network security, monitoring, and threat mitigation, collaborating with IT teams to ensure robust cybersecurity and system reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years in network security.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and deploy secure network solutions.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Set up endpoints and deploy employee hardware.
• Manage patching for servers and devices.
• Administer and troubleshoot servers and workstations.
• Monitor network performance and implement security enhancements.
• Lead security controls, audits, and risk assessments.
• Develop and maintain Pixxel's SSP/POA&M for CMMC/NIST 800-171.
