Job summary

HCLTech in Florida seeks an experienced Network Security Level 3 Engineer with 10+ years in networking and security. You will implement firewall change requests, configure devices (Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco), proxies, and IDS, and troubleshoot security issues to ensure robust connectivity.

You will work with carriers and vendors to coordinate installations, upgrades, and support, document deployment processes, and monitor security compliance using advanced tools.

Qualifications

• Years of experience in networking with focus on security.
• Linux/UNIX exposure (2–5 years).
• Certification as Security Engineer (CCSE or equivalent).
• Cisco CCNP or comparable certification.
• Understanding of loop prevention protocols (STP, etc.).
• Proficient with routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, NAT).
• Knowledge of IOS and CatOS operating systems.
• Familiar with trunking protocols (VTP, 802.1Q).
• Familiar with ITIL and service management.
• Document deployment processes and change management.
• Experience with change-request systems.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement firewall changes and related router updates.
• Create and install Checkpoint objects for firewall configurations.
• Build and manage firewall devices (Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco).
• Configure proxies and IDS.
• Troubleshoot security issues and escalate faults.
• Coordinate installations with carriers and vendors.
• Document deployment processes and change management activities.
• Monitor network performance and security compliance.
